Alu Achaar is a typical Nepali pickle to tickle your tongue during your meals.It is very easy to prepare and it's ingredients are easily availabe in everyone's kitchen.This food does not reflect the culture of any particular community.It is the food of all Nepalese .
INGREDIENTS:-

4 medium potatoes
4 tablespoon ground roasted sesame seeds
3/4 tablespoon lemon juice (fresh squeezed)
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoon red chilly powder
1 hot green chilly
4 tablespoon sesame oil
8-10 whole Methi seeds
1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
coriander leaves (to garnish)

Lets begin!!!

Step 1: Boil and peel potatoes. Chop them into cubes. (About 1 inch)
Step 2: Add salt, chillies, lemon juice, ground roasted sesame seeds and mix them.
Step 3: Heat small amount of sesame oil in a seperate pan. When quite hot, add methi seeds the fenugreek seeds will start to darken after few seconds.Then add turmeric powder to it.
Step 4: Now pour it all into the potato. Mix well, and sprinkle coriander leaves for garnishing.
Step 5: Let it cool, cover and refrigerate. You can either eat this after a couple of hours, cold or room temperature. It keeps for up to 3 days refrigerated.
Taste and serving:-
Alu achaar can be served at any time of meal with rice or beaten rice or chappati.It's a bit hot and spicy in taste.
